Our Privacy Policy (the "Privacy Policy") explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and how you can manage your rights in connection with our website and related services (collectively, the "Services").
This policy was written in English. If a translated version conflicts with the English version, the English version takes precedence. Unless otherwise indicated, this Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party products or services.

Information We Collect
Peakline collects information about you, including information that directly or indirectly identifies you, when you connect your Strava account and use our Services. We only collect data necessary to provide the functionality of the service.
Information from Your Strava Account
When you grant Peakline access to your Strava account, we collect the following information:
- Profile Information: Your Strava ID, name, profile picture, and basic stats (like FTP and weight) to personalize your experience in the Services.
- Activity Data: We access your activity details and data streams (such as GPS tracks, heart rate, power) to perform analysis and generate file exports (GPX/FIT).
- Access Tokens: We securely store the access and refresh tokens provided by Strava to maintain the connection to your account. These tokens are essential for fetching your data on your behalf.
Technical Information and Log Files
We collect data from your browser, computer, or mobile device, which provides us with technical information when you access or use the Services. This technical information includes device and network information, cookies, log files, and analytics data necessary for the stable operation and security of the Services.
How We Use Your Information
Peakline uses the information we collect and receive solely for the purposes described below:
- To provide, maintain, and improve our Services.
- To display your profile information and activity data within your personal dashboard.
- To perform calculations and analysis on your activity data as requested by you.
- To generate FIT and GPX files for you to download.
- To cache your data temporarily on our servers to improve performance and reduce API calls to Strava.
How Information Is Shared
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information with third parties for their commercial purposes. Information is shared only in the strictly limited circumstances described below.
- Service Providers: We may share your information with third parties who provide services to Peakline, such as hosting and infrastructure support. These providers only have access to the information necessary to perform these limited functions on our behalf and are required to protect your information.
- Business Transfers: If Peakline becomes involved in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or other similar transaction, we may transfer your information to the new owner, who will be required to honor this Privacy Policy.
- Legal Requirements: We may preserve and disclose your information if we determine that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with the law, including in response to court orders, subpoenas, or other legal processes. We may also disclose your information to protect our operations, property, or legal rights, and to prevent fraud or serious physical harm.
Data Storage and Security
We have implemented a number of measures to safeguard the collection, transmission, and storage of the data we collect. We store your Strava user ID and access tokens in a our database. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. All sensitive data, such as access tokens, is stored in an encrypted format.
Despite these measures, no security system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the 100% security of your information.
Managing and Deleting Your Data
You are in full control of your data. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data from our servers, you can do so at any time by revoking access for the "Peakline" application in your Strava account settings (Settings -> My Apps).
Once you revoke access, Strava will send us a webhook notification, based on which we will automatically and permanently delete all of your data from our database, including your profile, tokens, and all cached data. The process of completely deleting data from our systems, including backups, may take up to 90 days.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
Peakline reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Please review it periodically. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you through the Services or by other means. If you object to any of the changes, you should stop using the Services and delete your account.
